Islington resident helps make phoning social workers easier

Angela’s idea has helped make it easier for people in Islington to speak to their social worker on the phone.
Angela, a 69 year-old who regularly uses care services, often had to wait for up to an hour to get through to her social worker on the phone, resulting in expensive phone bills.

Our response to The Lancet's study on people's care needs

New report from Medical journal The Lancet estimates England will need an additional 71,000 care home places by 2025.
The report analyses people's care needs in 2011 compared to 1991 and found that older adults are living more years with substantial care needs.
