State of support - local Healthwatch finances 2017/18

The key findings from this year’s report indicate that:

• There has been a 6.9% reduction in funding compared to the year before, and a 37% fall since the Government’s original allocation in 2013.
• A third of local Healthwatch (47) have experienced a significant cut in funding.
• Less than 50p per head is being invested annually in Healthwatch to gather the views and experiences of people.
