State of support - local Healthwatch funding 2016/17
This report outlines the funding each local Healthwatch has received to deliver their statutory activities.
Summary
A survey of 148 local Healthwatch, working across 152 local authority areas, about their funding for 2016/17 indicates that:
- In 2015/16 local Healthwatch reported that they collectively received £31,812,823 to perform their statutory functions. For 2016/17 local Healthwatch have reported that the amount received has fallen to £29,438,075
- Half of local Healthwatch will maintain the same level of funding as 2015/16 or receive an increase in funding.
