Summary of report content

The Healthwatch Coventry Steering Group agreed that Enter and View Visits to adult hospital wards at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) would form part of the 2016-17 Healthwatch work programme because of feedback from patients regarding communication on and how this met the needs of patients with communication support requirements. Between January and August of 2017 Healthwatch Coventry carried out a number of enter and View visits to various wards in UHCW. A total of 107 people took part in semi structured interviews completing surveys. A total of 8 recommendations were made as a result of the survey and the trust responded to the recommendations. The responses were included in this report.
