Summary of report content

Healthwatch St Helens conducted an Enter and View to St Helens Hall and Lodge Care Home in August 2019. They observed the home, staff and residents.

The report found that the home was clean, tidy and well organised. The staff are offered lots of support and incentives. There are lots of recreation activity materials in the lounge and residents are able to choose what they would like to do. The home has been praised for it's palliative care. Every effort is made to accommodate relatives that wish to stay with their loved ones. The residents also receive regular visits from health professionals.

Healthwatch St Helens recommended that the residents could have names on their bedroom doors and a memory box. The laundry process may need to be reviewed due to the high volume of lost property.

The service provider did not provide a response.
