Summary of report content

Healthwatch Walsall conducted an Enter and View visit to Drake Court Residential Home in December 2019. The home provides support for up to 29 residents. Nine residents, relatives and staff members gave their feedback.

The report found that the home was clean and tidy with access to a garden at the back. Residents felt that their care was adequate and relatives agreed. There is a choice of food offered at the home. Health professionals visit the home on a weekly basis.

Recommendations included holding regular residents/relatives meetings; monitoring pull chords; reviewing the layout of the dining area; and looking at enabling external activities.

The service provider did not provide a response.
