Summary of report content
Healthwatch Greenwich conducted an unannounced Enter and View visit to Brook House Care Home in January 2020. The team spoke to 3 residents and 4 staff members.
The report found that parts of the home were undergoing refurbishment and redecoration, and all previous recommendations from Healthwatch Greenwich had been implemented. The rooms were personalised and dementia friendly signage was used. Activities were happening during the visit. There are issues with continuity of care as Brook House does not have enough permanent staff and uses a staffing agency to compensate.
A number of recommendations were made in the report relating to repairing TVs, ensuring continuity of care, and that the lift system is secure.
The home provided a response to address all recommendations.
