Between July and September 2020, over 38,082 people shared their experiences of using health and social care with Healthwatch. This briefing aims to provide health and social care professionals with a summary of the key issues that the public are telling us about.

What issues do we look at?

The update looks at three issues in detail:

  1. Access to NHS dental care
  2. The support provided in care homes
  3. Getting COVID-19 tests

The report also provides an overview of:

  • The online advice and information the public is seeking from Healthwatch England
  • The sentiment of feedback we have received by health and social care service area

Where does the evidence come from?

People’s views are taken from 217 local Healthwatch reports published about local NHS and social care services, as well as individual feedback we have received from the public.
