Wessex Voices' (Healthwatch Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton) first annual report for 2016-2017 covers our key activities and outcomes, as well as plans for 2017-2018.

Key activities and outcomes include:

  • Buying and Choosing Together Commissioning Toolkit and Starter Guide has been created
  • 10 half day learning and development events for around 75 people to help them understand more about the NHS and how they can get involved
  • Hosted the 'Positively engaging in NHS change' event to bring together 50 Wessex Voices volunteers, members of the public, local Healthwatch and Wessex STP leads on how people can engage in significant NHS changes
  • Developed and ran the 'Empowering Engagement Programme' for North East Hampshire and Farnham CCG to support six leaders to develop their own engagement projects and to help support the organisation to embed their Engagement Strategy
