Summary of report content

This report is a response to an announced Enter and View visit to Orton Manor Nursing Home on 3rd February 2015. The Registered Manager for the Home responded thanking the Enter and View team for the visit and the positive comments received. The response lists the actions that have been taken in response to their recommendations. Some of the actions taken were: Redecorating the interiors to make it more Dementia friendly. Designing a sensory garden for the residents to enjoy. Converting the 1st floor bathroom to incorporate a walk-in shower and hair dressing facilities. Nurse stations are going to be relocated to more appropriate spaces on both floors to accommodate a music corner and library. The Manager also explained that the reason some of the staff were dressed in uniform and some were not was that they were trialling a non-uniform period in the Home for the staff.
