Healthwatch across Humber, Coast and Vale spoke with over 2000 people during the engagement on the NHS Long Term Plan (LTP) project. Healthwatch were able to identify important trends of what is important to the people who live in our area.
It was found that respondents thought easy access to information that will help them make decisions about their future was very important; having knowledge to prevent ill health was important; and having professionals that listen and make every interaction count was also valued. People also confirmed that there is a real desire to have more choice and control over how, when and where they receive treatment. Condition specific survey results also highlighted the importance of access, diagnosis, provision of ongoing care and prevention or early intervention.
