Summary of report content

Healthwatch Together (Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Cumbria and Lancashire) conducted a survey during the pandemic and have collected feedback from 37 LGBTQ+ people.

The majority of respondents felt the pandemic has had an impact on their mental wellbeing and 57% said they were unable to access support for their mental health. 68% of the sample had pre-existing conditions but suffered disruptions to accessing services throughout the pandemic. Only two people reported that they felt at risk of violence within the home and said that they did not know how to get help.

Healthwatch Together will be doing some follow-up work to target those who are at risk of violence.
