Healthwatch Suffolk conducted a survey into 4890 children, parents' and staff's mental health and experience of school during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The report found that the lockdown had significantly impacted the mental health of students and parents. Teachers expressed concerns about discipline and identifying safeguarding issues, while students and parents felt that school communication was positive. A mixed response was apparent in returning to school as some students wanted to see friends but were concerned about the virus and falling behind on schoolwork.
