Summary of report content

Healthwatch North Somerset conducted an Enter and View visit at Sunnyside Surgery in January 2018 to ascertain the experience and opinions of local patients. The surgery was selected as part of this local Healthwatch series of Enter and View visits to GP Practices in North Somerset. Two Enter and View representatives observed interaction between staff and patients, the condition of the premises and provision of information. The Representatives also spoke with the Practice Manager. The surgery was found to be light and airy with approachable, friendly staff. The surgery was clean with clear signage. The report specifies 5 recommendations: to consider introducing background music to improve ambiance and enhance privacy, to display all staff names and photos along with the GP names already displayed, to display estimated waiting time in the seating area, to display the Practice Mission Statement and to consider a Carers ‘You Said We did’ board. The surgery have acknowledged the recommendations and intend to act upon them.
