Warrington Healthwatch carried out an Enter and View visit to Spire Cheshire Hospital in October 2016, the visit was carried out in line with their strategic direction. This report did not include the gathering of patient experience and instead a separate engagement visit was to be arranged. The visit and review covered the following areas: • Approach and First Impressions • Reception and Waiting Area Pages • Additional Facilities and Navigation • Food and Refreshments • Activities and Leisure • Smoking Policy • Privacy, Dignity and Involvement in Care • Treating People as Individuals • Positive and Respectful Attitudes • Staffing and Leadership • Staff Training • Management of Medicines • Safety and Security (Safeguarding) • Cleanliness and Infection Control • Administration The report stated the hospital appeared well-run, with well-maintained facilities and operated a patient-orientated approach. The visiting team identified some clear examples of good practice and would like the hospital to share these ideas with other partner organisations.
