Summary of report content
Healthwatch Derby conducted a series of Enter and View visits to residential and nursing care homes to collect residents', visitors' and staff experiences.
The report found that staff were passionate and caring towards residents, with evidence of dignity and respect. Staff, visitors and relatives were positive in their feedback about the homes. Staff surveys also confirmed that staff were happy with their workplace, manager and teams that they work within. Generally, the staff retention at the visited care homes was good.
A number of recommendations were made to the care homes. However, not all care homes responded to the report.
