Summary of report content

It includes the usual background information on Healthwatch, the purpose of the visit and the reasons why the E&V visit was being carried out. The work revolved around 2 wards at the hospital and included interviews with 17 people in total. These conversations appear to revolve round how informed do patients feel and discharge arrangements. A set of prompts had been designed to encourage the patient to talk about what they knew about their treatment. Whilst the report states these prompts are included in the appendices they do not appear but would be helpful. It includes a summary of findings and a list of recommendations which were shared with the hospital trust. It also includes the response from the provider including details of actions which are now going to be implemented.
