Summary of report content

Healthwatch Hackney conducted 6 Enter and View visits to housing with care schemes in July 2019. They collected feedback from 34 residents, staff and visitors.

A number of key themes were featured in the report including: care plans, food provision, social isolation, activities, family/visitor involvement, housing environment, and staff behaviour and attitudes.

Healthwatch Hackney made a number of recommendations relating to each of these topics including communication and provision of care plans; involvement of residents in activities and daily tasks; recruitment of be-frienders; and protecting the wellbeing of staff members.

The services provider responded positively to the report and has actioned these recommendations.
