Healthwatch Halton gather information on people’s experiences of health and social care services and there are times when it is appropriate for Healthwatch Halton to see and hear for themselves how services are being delivered: these visits are called ‘Enter and View’, they are not inspections. Healthwatch Halton visited Halton View care home on 19/02/2014. Halton View care home is a 64 bed residential home located in Widnes. It is easily accessible by car and public transport. The findings inform Halton View is a comfortable and clean home with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The home has adequate parking, including disabled car parking spaces and wheelchair access. The Manager appears to be very approachable and pro-active in providing residents with a high standard of care and in ensuring that the home is decorated to a good standard. Residents and family visitors who engaged with the enter and view team on the day of the visit, expressed positive comments about the care that they or relatives received from the care staff and manager.
