Summary of report content

On 20th February 2019, Healthwatch Derbyshire undertook an Enter and View visit to Autumn Grange Care Home which provides residential and nursing care for the elderly, including those with dementia. Their purpose was to assess the service in terms of quality of life and quality of care and identify areas of resident satisfaction, good practice and areas of improvement.

They found good staff-resident relationship and appropriate staffing levels; adequate dementia-friendly signage and information throughout the home; wide range of activities advertised using pictures and words; and well-kept exterior of the home. The report also highlights elements of good practice observed during the visit.
