Summary of report content
Healthwatch Brent conducted an announced Enter and View visit to Arran Court in August 2018. Arran Court is an older people's sheltered housing scheme with 31 residents currently living there.
The report found that the care planning process was efficient with all assessments of resident's needs carried out before accepting them, and that residents were involved in their care plan. All staff had received the mandatory training to conduct their work. The residents appreciated privacy, independence, participating in decisions, being in a safe & secure environment, and being able to maintain links with family and friends. All residents stated that they were happy with living at Arran Court.
Healthwatch Brent recommended that the manager should be encouraged to address issues that residents raise and that the windows of the home be cleaned.
The response from the manager was brief.
