Summary of report content

Concerns had been expressed to Healthwatch Brent regarding direct Payments, gathered directly and via advisors at Brent Carers Centre., and collated into a formal letter to the Brent Council Director of Adult Social Care. Some of the views gathered are summaries of commonly expressed concerns. Healthwatch Brent had been told that it has been impossible to get clear, transparent answers from the Council. Consequently, Healthwatch Brent have summarised these into the set of questions and request a formal response to each of these questions. Healthwatch Brent advise that they will publish the response on its website and bulletin, and provide a copy to Brent Carers Centre to distribute to carers. The formal response is not included in this report.
