Summary of report content
This is a summary report by Healthwatch Suffolk which highlights their work and achievements in 2019-2020. It lists the activities that they have undertaken which have made a difference to the lives of people in their local community- this includes mental health and emotional wellbeing focus groups and black and minority ethnic and diversity subgroups. It also highlights the projects that they have undertaken to improve and shape the local NHS and social care services, looking at the experiences of young carers in Suffolk and impact of coronavirus on their local community. Other projects that day undertook include better births in Suffolk, military carers, neighbourhood nursing and care team patient experience, safeguarding in Suffolk, informing the roll out of same day emergency care in Ipswich Hospital and improving access to frenulotomy. The report also highlights how they have helped local people to find answers regarding accessing healthcare and wellbeing support and the co-production work that they have undertaken with people and organisations in Suffolk.
